Method C3 Creativity
The complement is a set of proteins that are part of the Immune System and are activated following bacterial infections, or following inflammation or other pathologies. The fundamental purpose of the complement is to protect the organism through the removal of pathogenic agents (bacteria, viruses, etc.) facilitating their elimination or their control by other biological, serum or cellular systems.metodoc3n C3 and C4 are used for the purpose of establishing whether a disease or a particular condition in a patient is caused in whole or in part by complement system deficiencies or abnormalities. The C3 fraction is a complement protein that is activated when the organism recognizes the presence of bacterial cells or immune complexes. It can in turn be activated by the C4 fraction. Following the activation of the complement there is an immune response from the organism. Complement measurement may be ordered to help diagnose the cause of recurrent microbial infections, angioedema, or inflammation. It can also be used to aid in the diagnosis and to monitor the activity of acute and chronic autoimmune diseases, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It can be measured and monitored for immune complex related diseases such as: glomerulus nephritis (a kidney disorder), serum sickness, rheumatoid arthritis and vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). When immune complexes are formed, the complement helps to eliminate them from the blood, consequently its blood levels are lowered.
